About me

Hello anonymous reader,

My name is Guillaume Luccisano and I am a French Ruby/Rails engineer with more than 3 years of experience in Rails development, building, maintaining and scaling large websites. I recently relocalized myself in San Francisco and I work now for the awesome live streaming platform Justin.tv.

I am crazy about performance, from the server side to the end user rendering. I like to build challenging, stunning and innovative websites using the latest useful and productive technologies. I believe SEO is still a key point and HTML5 will blow up the web soon.

I have released and still maintaining a few gems, major are :

  • i18n_routing: a gem for Ruby on Rails that enable routes translations in order to make your website SEO friendly in many languages. It’s easy to install, no change in your code is required and it’s using the I18n Rails api !
  • BrB: a simple, fully transparent and extremely fast interface for doing distributed Ruby. The core of the architecture is provided by EventMachine (a fast and reliable IO event library).

Lately in 2009, I started to play with iPhone development trough the production of three games for major industry leader. One of these games reach the second position in free application (France app store).

At the same time, I decided to open this blog in order to share some tricks and experiences around the Ruby world and its eco-system.
